and friends first" on friday morning. todd: thanks for starting friday with us, a fox news alert, and unlawful is silly declaring louisville overnight as protesters are seen smashing windows and destroying buildings. jillian: 24 people were arrested including a state lawmaker. mark meredith has more. >> reporter: it has been a busy night for louisville's finest and busy morning over my shoulder, and arson investigation underway and it is unclear if it is tied to the protest but this business was boarded up like so many louisville, placing together who started this fire and whether was related to those demonstrations, 24 people arrested last night, 150 this week alone. we've seen all sorts of demonstrations that include people spray painting, some added graffiti on buses, breaking restaurant windows and dollars only hours after city leaders call for peaceful protest.

>> public safety and work for racial equity and justice can and must coexist. we encourage everyone to be lawful and peaceful as they go through the protest. >> reporter: thursday police charging 26-year-old lorenzo johnson with assaulting police officer and 14 counts of wanton engagement after two police officers were shot to be other night. johnson is expected to be arraigned later today. the officers are expected to be okay. one of the officers appears already eager to get back to work. major gregory, the city operations commander showed up for a rollcall, his brothers in blue excited to see him back, not every demonstration was violent. many louisville residents simply upset that no charges were brought against three officers involved with breonna taylor's death earlier this year donald trump weighed in on all of this earlier this week.

jillian: growing outrage. >> reporter: this is becoming all too familiar scene tampa bay times reporter who reported the footage said the protesters in st. petersburg were going restaurant to restaurant chanting at diners and in this situation things got more heated when a group of protesters tried to take over an elderly couple's table, insults were exchanged, this video has been viewed 3 million times on twitter. geraldo rivera said situations like this have an unintended consequence that plays into donald trump's hand. >> what tells it most eloquently is the scene in the restaurant. here is a couple just innocent joe and jane's oh having a dinner, they are outdoors because the restaurant indoors are restricted, the industry is troubled and employees hanging
